Santa Monica, CA — Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP announced today that Colette Woo has been named a Partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2026.

“Colette has been an indispensable part of our team for years,” said Nathan Lowenstein, founding and co-Managing Partner of Lowenstein & Weatherwax. “I have worked closely with her across many matters, and her judgment, precision, and command of PTAB practice have made a real difference for our clients. She is an exceptional advocate, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the partnership.”

Ms. Woo represents clients in complex patent disputes, with a particular focus on inter partes review (IPR) and ex parte reexamination (EPR) proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and related appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She regularly advises clients on PTAB strategy and has led all phases of IPR and EPR proceedings, and has presented numerous oral arguments before the Board. Her PTAB practice has been recognized nationally: Patexia ranked Ms. Woo among the top-performing patent owner-side IPR attorneys nationwide during the 2020–2025 period, placing just outside the top 50 based on objective performance metrics including outcomes and activity before the PTAB.

Ms. Woo earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she served as Articles Editor of the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy.
