Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP obtained an additional non-institution on behalf of Entropic Communications, LLC. The Patent Trial & Appeal Board denied institution on a petition for inter partes review brought by Cox Communications, Inc. (IPR2024-00579) challenging Entropic’s US 8,223,775 patent. This non-institution marks the fourth non-institution decision out of five cases on which institution has been decided and which L&W has handled on behalf of Entropic. The L&W team in this matter was led by Nathan Lowenstein, Kenneth Weatherwax, and Robert Pistone.
