Lowenstein & Weatherwax filed an amicus curiae brief in the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), the principal trade organization representing the biotechnology industry. The brief urged the Court to grant a writ of certiorari in the case of SightSound Technologies, LLC v. Apple Inc., which presents the question of the scope of determinations by the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board that are immune from judicial review.
