Parham Hendifar is partner at Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP where Mr. Hendifar represents and advises clients in intellectual property matters. Mr. Hendifar has extensive experience in post-grant review proceedings and has represented clients in dozens of such matters, including Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs), covered business method reviews (CBMs), ex parte and inter partes reexaminations, as well as appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In 2019, an Inter Partes Review proceeding that Mr. Hendifar argued before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board was designated as informative. In 2018, Mr. Hendifar was ranked by Patexia as the best performing patent owner attorney of the prior five years (July 2013- June 2018) representing patent owners in Inter Partes Review proceedings. In 2014, Mr. Hendifar was ranked number 36 by Docket Navigator in the Top Lawyers Before The Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as “measured by the number of Inter Partes Reviews and Covered Business Method Review proceedings in 2014 in which the attorney represented one of the litigants.”
Mr. Hendifar also has substantial litigation experience. He has argued multiple published, precedential cases before the California Appellate Court for the Second District. Mr. Hendifar has also defended complex business litigation and real estate matters, including a putative class action. Mr. Hendifar earned his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2011. He received an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from UCLA in 2005, summa cum laude, and a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from UCLA in 2006. Prior to law school, Mr. Hendifar enjoyed a successful career as a professional civil engineer.
