Ken has represented companies on a diverse range of issues, with experience in high tech, AI, biologics, medical device, and pharmaceutical patent matters. Prior to joining Lowenstein & Weatherwax, Ken practiced at a nationally recognized and Chambers tiered IP Firm. He has experience in developing and defending substantive patent and trademark portfolios for clients and understands the intrinsic business decisions that drive IP strategy. During graduate school, Ken studied the role of novel oncogenes in the formation of childhood leukemia and spent time at the University of Cape Town developing a computer model of tuberculosis incidence in South Africa. Ken is a registered Patent Attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and admitted to the State Bar of California. He received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois, College of Law.
