Ms. Woo is experienced in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and appeals thereto before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Her experience includes briefing arguments and motions, drafting expert declarations, presenting IPR oral arguments, and taking and defending expert depositions.
Ms. Woo was also part of a team that secured a landmark precedential decision in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit finding nationwide personal jurisdiction over a foreign company under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 4(k)(2).
Ms. Woo earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from University of Illinois, College of Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the Journal of Law, Technology & Policy, and her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University. While in law school, she worked in the Intellectual Property Law Clinic and while in college she worked as an EMT in New York City.
