Patrick Maloney is an associate with Lowenstein & Weatherwax LLP. Mr. Maloney’s primary focus is on intellectual property law, with an emphasis in patent litigation. Mr. Maloney has extensive experience in patent post-grant proceedings where he has represented clients in over 50 inter partes reviews (IPRs) and covered business method reviews (CBMRs).
Mr. Maloney also has significant experience in intellectual property valuation and licensing where he has negotiated dozens of patent and software licenses in various fields including optoelectronics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and virtual reality. Mr. Maloney received his juris doctor degree from the University of California-Davis Martin Luther King, Jr. School of Law, where he was a Senior Editor for the Environmental Law and Policy Journal and the President of the Jewish Law Students Association. Prior to beginning his legal career, Mr. Maloney received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of California-Davis and worked as a chemist for one of the leading developers of quantum dot display technology.
